Days of Our Lives wraps up 2025, marking it as a year of tumultuous relationships and scandalous affairs. Memorable duo Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) ranked fifth in the list of disastrous romances as Rafe's inability to maintain a stable relationship played out yet again. Arnold Feniger's (Galen Gering) scheming added to their woes, leading to an unfortunate split. Dramatic twists ensued as Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Ava Vitali's (Tamara Braun) romance was sabotaged by Brady's daughter, Rachel Black (Alice Halsey).

DOOL fans saw EJ DiMera's (Dan Feuerriegel) dubious dealings led to the disintegration of his relationship with Belle Black (Martha Madison), while Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Cat Greene's (AnnaLynne McCord) romance was undermined by family pressures and past deceptions. 

Days of our Lives fans suggest the worst couple of the year award goes to Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) and Tate Black (Leo Howard) who, despite their brief liaison, caused a ripple of chaos in Salem. Sophia's obsession with Tate and her underhand tactics to keep him away from Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis), including a surprise pregnancy and falsified adoption, made their relationship the most toxic of 2025 on the Peacock soap opera.
